Bridgend News

It was a happy pancake day at the Ayr branch today with Sharon winning a visit from West FM and Cook School Scotland, who dropped in to make some delicious pancakes for the staff. Unfortunately Sharon herself was attending a meeting off site when they arrived and missed the entire event herself. Oh well, c'est la vie!! I'm sure someone will save you some.

Bridgend Group recently held a celebratory dinner at the Annfield House Hotel in Irvine.

The dinner was held in recognition of the long term service of a number of staff, with all staff in attendance being with the company for at least 10 years.

The dinner was followed by an award ceremony with all staff receiving an award and a number of staff with over 20 years service, receiving a day out at the races in October as an additional thank you for their years of service.

Newly refurbished Bridgend offers great service facilities with the personal touch.

In early 2011, Bridgend Group undertook a refurbishment project   at the Riverside Autoplex to incorporate new office accommodation, upgraded service reception, customer waiting area and MOT viewing area. With this work now complete the result has been well received by customers and colleagues alike.

With the new facility being bright, comfortable and now incorporated within the showroom, it is completely unrecognisable from the previous layout and demonstrates Bridgend’s commitment to constantly improve and evolve its operations to meet and exceed the expectations of even the most discerning customers. What is most striking about the redevelopment is it now provides new customer parking and waiting facilities which rival most franchised dealerships and with the changes in legislation allowing independent garages like Bridgend to carry out servicing on vehicles still under Manufacturer’s warranty, it means Bridgend are well placed to provide their customers with the high standard of service which they would only previously have expected to get from those expensive main dealer groups.

Bridgend have introduced a full range of transparent, low cost, fixed price options for service and repair which can be viewed at the website www.bridgendgroup.co.uk where you are also able to book online and with their collection/delivery service, Bridgend have put in place the complete package to ensure that customers are given good value for money when they have work carried out on their vehicle.

In addition to these benefits, with Bridgend being a family run business, their approach in providing the ‘personal’ touch to each customer always ensures everyone is greeted with a friendly smile, professional attitude and the feeling of being more than ’just’ a customer.

With the aftersales service at Bridgend now achieving enviable standards, we would welcome all new and previous customers who may have not experienced our new facility to come to see for themselves the great strides we have taken to provide that ‘one stop shop’ for all their motoring needs, from sales to service, from accident repair to MOT, there really is no need to go anywhere else.

Our Ayr Autoplex, service department have recently invested in some new diagnostic equipment.

The Launch X431 scanner is one of the most comprehensive tools in the automotive diagnostic market... with the technology providing us with software very close to dealer/manufacturer quality; it provides diagnostic capability for over 37 manufacturers and 148 models in one comprehensive unit.

Best of all, the vehicle coverage of this diagnostic tablet continues to grow, with the latest internet updates accessible at the click of a button, unlike other tools and diagnostic equipment, the X431 internet database is updated with new diagnostic interfaces and vehicle models on an almost daily basis making this rapidly expanding technology the essential requirement for the professional vehicle technician.

More than just reading & clearing fault codes it goes far beyond just accessing systems, the complete vehicle including, engine, transmission, immobiliser, air bag, body components and the data network communication modules can be interrogated to provide the live data, graphs, etc. which the technician needs to be able to accurately diagnose faults. The X431 can also perform test actuations, adjustments, key programming and body control module configurations.

The Launch X431 scanner will enable us to provide our customers with an even greater level of service and reinforce our ability to be the ‘one stop shop’ for all your motoring needs.
